FLAG The Year of Languages
Poster Contest
| FLAG proudly announces that our "Year
of the Languages" poster winner (secondary) took first place at the
regional level. Congratulations to Amaris Price (Cross Creek High School).

- Sponsors: Foreign Language Association of Georgia (FLAG) and Southern
Conference on Language Teaching (SCOLT).
- Title and Theme: Many Languages, Many Learners, One World.
This title must appear somewhere on the poster in English; it may also
appear in another language or languages. No single language should be
emphasized.
- Poster size: 28" long x 22" wide (regular poster size). Surface
must be flat with no moving parts or additions. No copyrighted material can
be used on the poster.
- Categories: 3 levels of participation: K-6; 7-12; Postsecondary.
- Prizes: $50 for first-place winners at each level (K-6; 7-12;
postsecondary).
- FLAG winning posters will be displayed at the annual conference on Jekyll
Island.
- Winning posters will be entered in the SCOLT poster contest which has a
$100 prize for the first-place winners and a $100 gift to the
winner's school. Winners of the SCOLT contest will be on display at the
SCOLT conference February 24-26, 2005 in Charlotte, NC.
- Submissions become property of FLAG. Should a poster be chosen by SCOLT
as a winner, that poster becomes property of SCOLT.
- Submission format, deadline, and criteria:
- Send one 4"x6" digital photo with name of student, name of school,
name of sponsoring teacher and a school phone number.
- Only one entry per school will be accepted.
- Photo must be received by November 8, 2004.
- Email the entry to Michael Dockery at
yolposter@davidsonfinearts.org.
- Only posters of FLAG members' students
will be judged.
