FLAG's Year of Languages Conference will take place on Jekyll Island, Georgia at the Jekyll Oceanfront Resort and Spa. We have chosen Jekyll Island as our 2005 site for its physical beauty and out of a desire to serve all of Georgia. Please help us to make FLAG strong by encouraging your colleagues to join and to participate in the conference. Given the proximity of the conference to Florida, we also hope that our Florida colleagues will join us. Our theme, Waves of Change in the Year of Languages: No Language Teacher is an Island, reminds us all that our profession continues to grow and to change and, also, that we are at our best and strongest when we join with each other in a spirit of collegiality and determination. At this time, we would like to ask for session and workshop proposals. Note that proposals received by September 30 are eligible to be considered for the BEST of FLAG winner (=free registration for 2006 conference!).
