WELCOME TO YOUR FLAG!

Dedicated to serving the citizens and foreign language professionals of Georgia (USA)

FLAG, short for Foreign Language Association of Georgia, is the official professional organization for foreign languages in Georgia. FLAG is a tax-exempt non-profit organization.

FLAG is an association of instructors, administrators, and others involved in foreign language teaching and the promotion of cultural understanding. It is motivated by the desire to facilitate communication among Georgia's language professionals, to provide educational services to its members, to conduct meetings, and to develop and disseminate information related to the field of foreign language education. The basic goal of FLAG is to improve and foster the teaching of foreign languages and cultures (including literature) through service to the teachers in the state.

Membership is open to all foreign language educators (including supervisors, administrators, etc.) from the elementary through the university level, from public and private institutions.

FLAG sponsors events and organizations such as the following: Awards, an Annual Conference, the Spoken Language Contest (for FLES/ESFL and MS/HS), as well as the Academic Alliances in Georgia. The FLAG Journal and the FLAG Fall Features (newsletter) are our official publications, and this is our official web site.
